Harrigan, here's our recent exchange on The Conversation

Well, to continue from my previous blog entry [The Conversation deletes my post yet again], here is the brief exchange between Harrigan and myself. Please keep in mind that this chap has followed me around the threads for some time, hurling his vituperative barbs at me whenever he could. As an example, here is his way of intervening in the discussion I was participating in, as a means to initiate the exchange:

or the various articles on the Royal Commission into child abuse which, in Ms Ng's world, can be seen only through the stereotype of evil gays (confusing pedophilia with same sex attraction).
Is that "intellectual honesty"? Or is it, possibly, bigoted prejudice that seeks out opinion dressed as fact to support a world view?

Mark Harrigan is a career bully attempting to get his narcissistic supply on the threads here and elsewhere. He routinely quotes things out of context and misrepresents them with the sole aim of setting up statements which denigrate those whom he targets. So, in the example he quotes, what I was actually saying in that thread was in the context of sharing my personal experiences where a homosexual man in my workplace who was our boss bullied me and others with some devastating effects for us and the organisation. Rather than show any empathy, as a normal person would do when others are hurt, Harrigan gloatingly plucks statements out of context to demonise them instead. Note that he doesn't actually address the information presented here, he just simply and disrespectfully poo-poos anything that someone he targets has to say. I would invite anyone to make up their own minds about Harrigan, the bully - it's all there for anyone to see. Here are some examples,

I have tried very hard to have a reasoned debate with Harrigan in a few places, but in the event I came to the conclusion that this is not possible, therefore I determined not to engage him directly, which is something I advise others interested in genuine and civilised debate to do.

A few hours later, my comment was promptly deleted, without proper investigation into why I responded to Harrigan in the manner I did - obviously the moderators never checked the links I provided above, or they would have seen the kind of stuff he throws at individuals he disagrees with.
Well, Dr Mark Harrigan, my comment survived, as you can plainly see here, despite your rush to 'report me'. I hope that some of those who envisage using your services as a so-called "honest" communication and Edward de Bono "Master" Trainer will see this when they search for you. I can guarantee you this will stay here for a long, long time - there is no moderator you can run to when you get your bully ego hurt. The additional good news is that there will be even more to come. Enjoy the well-deserved publicity!
